EX-CHELSEA PLAYER WANTS ‘NEW DROGBA’

Former Chelsea player Alan Hudson has given up on new signing Timo Werner following his poor form over the course of the last few months. Alan Hudson spoke about Timo Werner in an exclusive interview with media outlet CaughtOffside as he said that a new striker in the form of Didier Drogba or Peter Osgood is needed at the club. According to him, England international Tammy Abraham is the Chelsea striker with the most similarities to Didier Drogba but the club needs an upgrade on him. Didier Drogba and Peter Osgood are Chelsea legends who became cult heroes at Stamford Bridge because of their striking ability.

Timo Werner was signed by Chelsea last summer in a £53m deal from RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga and he started his Chelsea career but the German international has lost his way in recent months especially in the final weeks of the just ended Frank Lampard managerial reign. Frank Lampard was sacked as the Chelsea boss last month and replaced by German tactician Thomas Tuchel and the general consensus is that maybe he would be able to get the best out of Timo Werner. Timo Werner has already drawn comparisons with Fernando Torres, who flopped at Chelsea after the club splashed the sum of £50m on his transfer in January 2012. DROGBA GIVES ADVICE TO TAMMY ABRAHAM

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has given striker Tammy Abraham a piece of advice that would come in handyfor him now and in the future after the Blues player came on social media to defend teammate Antonio Rudiger. Recent reports claimed that all is not well in the Chelsea dressing room due to the fight between club skipper Cesar Azpilicueta and German international centre back Antonio Rudiger.

To this effect, Nigerian-born England international Tammy Abraham took to his official Twitter handle to show his support for Antonio Rudiger as he pointed out that the ex-AS Roma defender is like a big brother to him and the other young players at the club. Didier Drogba reacted to his tweet by advising him that togetherness is the way and that Tammy Abraham and the other Chelsea players need to need to stick together for one another. Didier Drogba is a legend at Chelsea and he has been following the club in close quarters since he finally left in 2015. WERNER CAN EMULATE DROGBA AT CHELSEA

Under-fire Chelsea attacker Timo Werner can take solace from Didier Drogba’s slow start at Stamford Bridge according to journalist Oliver Young-Myles who writes for inews in the United Kingdom (UK). Just like Didier Drogba, Timo Werner has made a relatively slow start to life at Chelsea since his lucrative transfer from German Bundesliga team RB Leipzig. The Blues paid a whooping £52m to sign him from the German club and he has scored nine goals in 25 appearances but his misses in front of goal has generated more noise than the ones he scored.

Timo Werner can look up to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, who made a slow start in West London before going on to attain legendary status at the club. Timo Werner has been tagged a flop by some Chelsea fans despite scoring eight goals in his first 20 games for the club with four of those goals coming in the Premier League but a certain Didier Drogba netted just seven goals in his first 20 Chelsea and the rest they say is history as he was able to recover from that slow start to win a lot of trophies for Chelsea, while playing a starring role. Didier Drogba took to his official Twitter handle to talk about the incident that led to the Champions League game being abandoned.

According to the former Chelsea striker, the players of both PSG and Istanbul Basaksehir were right to abandon the game as a result of the incident as he thanked Pierre Webo and Demba Ba for standing out.
